Spring 2026 Update
As we begin our 21st year of operation we are excited to see our peony plants emerge from the soil and quickly develop into fully formed peonies. Our peony fields are hand cultivated with no use of herbicides or insecticides. We recently learned that many growers experience problems with botrytis when storing their blooms. With our decades long practice of removing most of the foliage when harvesting our blooms we have never experienced this problem.
Our website is now accepting orders for 2026. We will be adding additional root division varieties for fall delivery over the next few weeks.
Farm tours: The popular farm tours will soon begin – depending on when peonies begin to bloom (likely early June). With over 70 varieties of peonies, our bloom season extends over 6 weeks. Tours will be offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10:30 - 11:15am. Please email us at info@peonyfarm.ca or call 250-354-2931 at least a day in advance to book a tour. Fee: $5/person. Blooms will be available for purchase. Please leave your pets at home.
Our daughter and her husband joined us on the farm five years ago and established Bear Spring Eco Retreat. You can book glamping accommodations on their website: bearspringeco.ca They commence operations on May 14th.
